Waterr AI for Defence

Train, recruit, and stay on-call —
without burning operator hours.

The conversations that decide a mission, a clearance, or an incident shouldn't happen for the first time when it counts. Waterr AI gives defence teams a voice-AI partner to rehearse them, screen for them, and pick up the urgent call when no human can.

Built for primes, integrators, and government training commands.

Operators train 99% of the time so they perform when it counts.

But the spoken parts of the job — the interrogation, the negotiation, the radio call to the JOC, the clearance interview — almost never get reps. Waterr AI closes that gap with voice scenarios trainees can run on demand, scored against the rubric your unit already uses.

Why defence teams choose Waterr AI

Realistic voice conversations, rubric-graded scorecards, and a plus-one that picks up when the operator can't.

Mission-realistic personas

Hostile sources, stalled negotiators, panicked civilians, foreign-language interlocutors — built from your unit's playbooks, not generic templates.

Live voice, not multiple choice

Real spoken conversations. The AI interrupts, stalls, lies, and pushes back the way an actual source or counterparty would.

Doctrine-graded scorecards

Every run scored against the rubric your training cell already uses — FM doctrine, agency SOPs, or a custom evaluator you author.

A plus-one for the calls you can't take

When the SME is in another briefing and someone needs them right now, your plus-one answers, captures what's asked, and escalates only what can't wait.

The conversations defence teams can't afford to fumble

Three places voice AI changes the operating tempo today.

Warfighter & analyst readiness

Interrogation, negotiation, source-handling, debriefs, OPSEC scripts. Run unlimited voice reps against AI counterparts that don't fold on the first push.

Cleared-candidate screening

Screen for cleared roles — engineers, linguists, ops staff — with voice interviews that probe role fit and surface red flags before a recruiter spends an hour.

Plus-one for on-call SMEs

An incident commander needs the comms SME mid-event. Your plus-one picks up, answers what it knows, and escalates only what truly can't wait.

How Waterr AI works for a defence unit

Four steps from "we should be drilling this more" to a team that actually does.

1

Define the persona and the rubric

Pick a scenario — interrogation subject, hostage negotiator, foreign liaison, on-call SME — and shape the AI's posture, language, and pressure tactics. Upload your unit's doctrine, SOPs, and evaluation rubric so the scoring matches how your training cell already grades.

2

Run the conversation live

The trainee jumps into a real-time voice exchange. The AI doesn't read a script — it tests rapport, contradicts itself, falls silent, and reacts to whatever the trainee actually says. Every attempt plays out differently, the way every real subject does.

3

Get scored against your doctrine

Seconds after the run ends, Waterr AI grades the conversation against your unit's rubric — interrogation doctrine, negotiation playbooks, comms-discipline checklists. Trainees see what worked, what compromised the objective, and exactly which moment to re-run.

4

Certify readiness, not seat time

Operators re-run until they clear the bar. Training cells watch skill progression and certification status on a dashboard instead of sitting through every roleplay themselves. Readiness becomes something you prove — not something you sign off on.

When the SME can't pick up

The plus-one: an AI that answers the urgent call so an operator doesn't have to drop what they're doing.

An incident commander needs the cyber lead mid-response. The cyber lead is in a brief with the deputy director. Their plus-one picks up, answers what's already known, captures what isn't, and only pings the lead on the things that genuinely can't wait. The call that costs the mission always happens — just not on the operator's calendar.

What defence teams get out of it

Practice that shows up in the after-action review, not just in training completion rates.

Faster qualification

New trainees take dozens of voice reps before their first live exercise — and clear qual standards weeks sooner.

Consistent doctrine

Push a doctrine update as a scenario and every operator drills the same standard, the same week, against the same rubric.

Pressure that doesn't paralyse

An operator who has already worked twenty defiant subjects handles the twenty-first calmly — and on doctrine.

Cadre hours back

Roleplays stop competing with operational tempo. The AI runs them; the cadre coaches from the scorecards.

Demonstrable readiness

Certification based on observed performance against a rubric — not a quiz score and not a CO's gut feel.

A bench that stays sharp

Tenured operators stay drilled between deployments and spin up fast on new TTPs, regions, and adversary profiles.

Built for the security posture you actually have

We work with primes, integrators, and government training commands on deployments that fit their environment.

Your data, your model

Waterr AI doesn't train on your scenarios, transcripts, or rubrics. Retention windows and access controls are scoped to your contract.

Deployment that fits your environment

SaaS on commercial cloud for unclassified training, private VPC for sensitive work, or self-hosted for higher-side. Talk to us about your accreditation path.

Audit-ready by default

Every roleplay, scorecard, and plus-one interaction is logged, attributable, and exportable — built for AARs, IGs, and program reviews.

Frequently asked questions

Can the AI be tuned to our unit's doctrine and rubric?

Yes. Personas, scenarios, language, and scoring rubrics are all customisable — load your doctrine PDFs, SOPs, and evaluation forms, and the AI grades against them instead of a generic template.

Can Waterr AI run on a private network or higher-side environment?

We deploy on commercial cloud for unclassified training and offer private-VPC and self-hosted options for sensitive work. Talk to us early about the accreditation path you're targeting and we'll scope a fit.

Does Waterr AI train on our scenarios or transcripts?

No. Your scenarios, transcripts, and scorecards are yours. We do not train our models on them, and retention is scoped to your contract.

How does the plus-one decide what to escalate?

You set the rules. The plus-one is given a brief on what its principal owns, who can ask, and what counts as urgent — anything inside that band it handles or captures; anything outside it pages the principal through the channel they trust.

We're a prime / integrator — can we embed Waterr AI in our own training product?

Yes. We work with primes and integrators through an API and embeddable widget so the voice-AI layer ships inside your existing simulator or LMS. Contact our team to scope.
